Goethals Hall
Named for: George Washington Goethals (Class of 1877)
Architect: George B. Post and Sons Erected: 1930

 

General Goethals was the chief architect of the Panama Canal. When Goethals Hall was built, it was connected to Compton Hall. The rear of the plate is labeled “The Technology Building.”

 

Original Use: The building housed the Technology program, later the School of Engineering.


Current Use: The building now houses the Department of Art.
