Shepard Hall (South Tower)
Named for: Edward Morse Shepard (Class of 1869)
Architect: George Browne Post Erected: 1904-1907

 

Original Use: Shepard Hall originally housed the Departments of Physics and Biology, all the Humanities and Social Sciences and the President’s Office.


Current Use:
The School of Architecture is housed here until it moves to South Campus several years from now. The building is also home to the Departments of Music and Media and Communication Arts. The former President’s Office (S150) is now home to the City College Faculty Senate. The rear of the plate is labeled “The South Tower.”
