Requirements


The outline of the proposal is presented first, followed by lists of existing, or proposed courses, in each category. Recommended frequency, in years, for each course is indicated in parentheses. For e.g., (2) indicates every 2nd year. Course marked with * are proposed new courses. Courses marked with # are proposed new required courses. Note that a single course cannot satisfy more than one requirement. For e.g., if Computational Models of Cognition I, is used to satisfy a Cognition & Perception requirement, it cannot also satisfy the Neuroscience requirement, and vice versa.


Outline of Proposed Curriculum

I. Required Courses:

A. Methods, Measurement, and
Statistics (5 courses)
B. Cognition and Perception (2 courses)
C. Neuroscience and Cognitive Neuroscience (3 courses)
D. Complex Cognition (2 courses)
E. Cognitive Neuroscience Seminar (1 credit for each of 4 semesters)
F. Ethics and Profession Responsibility (1 course)
Total credits: 44 (including 4 each for Experimental and Cognition Seminar)


II. The Remaining Courses are Elective (28 credits. Program requirement: 72 credits)
