Research
Interests:
Psycholinguistics,
cognitive psychology, linguistics, neurolinguistics, computer science,
sociolinguistics and education.
My
research interests are primarily within the area of psychlinguistices
including speech perception in normal and deafened individuals, sign
language perception, and figurative language understanding. I have also
done work in literacy and education, and collaborative work with language-learning
impaired individuals and aphasics. I am beginning research in language
change as affected by communication on the internet. I welcome research
collaborations in any area of language and communication.
